Someof the following fixes require a working pointing device. Try using a pointing pen, a USB mouse, a touchpad, or speech recognition. If you have previously enabled the remote connection on your Windows 10, or that you have installed Teamviewer, use them as per your own needs.

7) After the restart, go through the process again. When you reach the following window, tick the box for Show compatible hardware. Then select the right driver for you. Click Next to continue.

4) Try on a different computer. If the same problem happens on a second computer, then your wireless mouse might be defective. In that case, you might want to contact the manufacturer of your wireless mouse for more suggestions.

Critical system files contain information necessary for hardware components and devices to operate, including wireless mice. If some of these files become damaged or go missing, it can prevent proper communication between the wireless mouse and the computer. Repairing corrupted system files can restore them to their original state and fix problems that are disrupting the recognition and function of the wireless mouse.

You can use the system file checker (SFC) to repair system files on Windows. However, sometimes this tool cannot properly detect or repair the damaged files. In such a case, a dedicated utility like Fortect comes in handy. It automates the repair process by scanning system files and replacing corrupted ones.

i would to be share a problem i have every time i update my bluetooth driver, i have Windows 10 21h2 and i update the Bluetooth driver when i have the notification with Intel Driver Assistant but after installation, i lost the keyboard and mouse. I every time need to remove it and re add it, it's very frustrating !

Please try installing the latest Bluetooth driver version 22.100.1.1 provided by Lenovo ( -and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-p15v-type-20tq-20tr/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Bluetooth%20and%20Modem) and check if the mouse and keyboard are still getting disconnected. I recommend you to perform a clean installation of the Bluetooth driver for this ( )

As well, since the issue does not happen with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) drivers, it is important for you to know that OEM drivers are customized for your system, and it is recommended to have those installed. Please check for newer driver versions with the OEM.

As well, if other Bluetooth devices are working properly, there could be a compatibility issue with Logitech or the devices may need an update too. For this kind of devices, Logitech usually provides drivers/software, so we recommend contacting them and check if there is any update needed.

I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop but my wireless mouse is not working on it.I have Windows 7 installed on my laptop but my mouse is working properly on it. my mouse is 2.4 GH Generouswhat should I do??

If you are still facing this issue, check the modules or drivers and uninstall/replug the device and see. I had the same issue where the wireless mouse was getting identified as Mosart semi 2.4G wireless but it just would NOT work!!!

And then tried the windows way of troubleshooting - uninstall/re-install drivers (pun intended) all I did was modprobe -r usbhid and plugged the nano receiver with skepticism.....but to my surprise it started to work again. I had spent close to 1-1.5 months trying to get this work and in the end all that was needed was to uninstall the driver :)

Hey all. I had the same problem - scrolling wouldn't work on my magic mouse in Widows 10. Run the Apple Software Update app from the start menu. There is a hardware driver update from Apple that fixes the problem. Install it, restart your computer and the scrolling will work properly. It worked for me anyway. I'm running El Capitan, Windows 10 and Boot Camp 6 on a MacBook Pro, Mid 2015.

I have this problem with my Magic Mouse 2, the rechargeable one. I downloaded the drivers from BootCamp, installed the DPInst.exe driver and......nothing, didn't work. I can use every function except up/down scroll.

This might help someone. OK this is how I fixed my problem in Windows 10 Boot Camp on MacBook Pro 2016. Apple Magic Mouse recognized, paired but kept disconnecting almost immediately if it connected at all. The problem was related to the Power Management under Bluetooth Radio, Properties in Device Manager. I had to uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'. This has worked for me I'm relieved to say ?

Doesn't work for me. After installing AppleWirelessMouse64.exe my Magic Mouse 2 does not scroll. Upon further investigation it is still using the Microsoft mouse driver from 2006(!) and I do not see the Apple Mouse driver in the hardware list. I'm stumped.

You might want to check with Microsoft to see if they will make a driver available for a third party (in this case Apple) mouse. I doubt that Apple would do so as it is their brand mouse working on their brand Mac OS and computer.

Please use System requirements to install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support to download drivers appropriate for your Mac year/model and Boot Camp: Solve Windows support software installation problems - specifically see the section - Reinstall a specific driver.

I have been having this problem for a few days now. Whenever I plug in a wireless mouse, it doesn't work, the pointer will not move at all. I have tried two mice and both have done the same thing. Both USB ports give the same result. The USB preferences recognizes that the mouse is connected. I have restarted my computer multiple times. Has anyone else had this issue and/or does anyone know what could be causing it?

And there are dozens of mice that connect in different ways. Some need drivers some don't. Some connect via Blue Tooth some don't. Some work with Macs some don't. Some work partially when the battery is losing charge. Some don't need a battery. Some ...

Both mice connect using a USB dongle and are powered by a single battery. Neither of the batteries are dead and the mice light up, so they turn on. Both of these mice have been used on this computer many, many times and have never had any issues before.

I've used a Logitech M325 for years, and before them an M305. I bought a bunch of them because I liked them, they were cheap, and my kid would occasionally bite into the scroll wheel. The worst I've ever had to do was pull out the receiver or hub and it usually reconnected.

If there's a driver problem, there it's going to be really difficult to figure it out. It's supposed to use a generic driver that's used for any "human input device" whether it's from Targus, Logitech, Microsoft, Kensington, etc. If the driver is missing, it's supposed to pull it either from the OS or the internet, although I believe MacOS would do that i the background. But if it's been working before, I'm not sure what could have happened.

Where can I find the Windows 10 driver for an older HP mouse? The HP site does not even recognize the S/N ([Personal Information Removed]) or the product name (H3T51AA). Surely there must be a cache of older drivers someplace.

Sorry, nothing works. Downloaded the X4000 driver from driverscollection.com and installed it, but no cigar. Tried the trick of going to the "add device" form on the PC and pressing the discovery/connect button on the mouse. The PC refuses to see the mouse. I know the mouse is fine because it connects with my Mac instantly.

The strange thing is the mouse used to work fine with Windows 10 on this computer. It stopped working when I was trying to troubleshoot another problem. My hunch is I accidentally deleted the driver and there is no compatible driver out there to reinstall. Frustrating.
