hi all, a great new campaign by CNP - if you have issues with accessing the peak district by bus on a Sunday please fill in the survey.  thanks, Lisa

The Green Route to National Parks

Where’s the bus?

Adult and child

We believe everyone should be able to access and experience National Parks, no matter where they live, and buses are a great way to do this. However, bus services are limited in many parts of our National Parks and, despite being one of the most popular days for visiting, Sunday services are particularly scarce.

We want to see significant improvements for Sunday bus services, but we need strong evidence to highlight the impact that a lack of services has on equal and sustainable visitor access – this is where you come in.

Help us by sharing your experiences of Sunday bus services by taking our Green Routes to National Parks survey.

Thanks to The Naturesave Trust we’ve been able to collect and highlight information about Sunday bus routes in Exmoor and Dartmoor.

Based on bus route information from 2025 it’s clear to see from the maps below how little of the Parks are served by buses on Sunday.

This is just the start, we want to be able to grow this campaign to include all National Parks in England and Wales. Will you help us drive change by donating today?
