Apologies to anybody who's had more than one copy of this.

This event is hosted by Stanley and Stanley Common Parish Council, but
please come if you're interested in the topics. You don't need to live
locally, and if you think it might be worth doing something similar in
your area, it may be worth coming to this event to get ideas and make
contacts.

This continues a series of events that the Nottingham Energy Partnership
(NEP) has been organising over the last two or three years. These
provide information about energy and cost reduction; retrofit; low
carbon heating, and renewable energy generation. After the presentation
from the NEP, there will also be opportunities to meet experts in
various retrofit topics to discuss your own projects.

The NEP has traditionally operated in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire,
but because they are now funded at a regional level, they are starting
to do these events in Derbyshire too.

For Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, the NEP is the lead organisation
managing the 'Warm Homes: Local Grant' (WHLG), which can provide fully
funded, government-backed energy-saving upgrades for low-income
households with inefficient homes (EPC D-G). These can include reducing
energy bills through insulation, solar panels, and low-carbon heating,
with applications open for 2025–2028. There will be opportunities to ask
about this and other funding schemes, as well as retrofit topics.

In addition to the NEP and their guests, the Eco Erewash and
Energy 4 Erewash groups will also be there. E4E is a newly formed
community energy group, set up as a Community Benefit Society.

We also hope that National Energy Action (a national charity working to
end fuel poverty), and the Groundwork Green Doctors (energy efficiency
advisors offering free, impartial advice to help people take control of
their bills and save energy in the homes) will attend, though these last
two have yet to confirm.

Posters and flyers for the event enclosed. Please feel free to forward /
distribute to anybody who might be interested in printed or electronic
form, and / or promote on social media.

Please register to attend if possible (see enclosed), but also feel free
to just turn up on the day if you'd prefer to be spontaneous !

Please contact me with any queries.

Many thanks, J/.
