derbyjs without MongoDB?

I have a question about derbyjs

Is it possible to use it without MongoDB? In my case no data storing/fetching is required

Note that derby-standalone is a client-side framework and I don't think it does server-side rendering. Still a worthwhile framework, just something to be aware of.
