Meeting 25th Feb - AGM

The meeting this week will be the AGM and Committee meeting. Everybody
is welcome to attend including visitors but it will mean that the laser
cutter will not be available for use. The venue is Grange Hall, Park
Lane, Littleover and is scheduled to start at 7pm.

AGM:

1) Minutes of 2024 AGM
2) Treasurers annual report.
3) Election of officers for 2024 (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer).
4) Review of constitution.

Martin has asked to step down as secretary and Bill Howcroft has offered
to step in. I am happy to stay on as chairman and I am sure that Brendan
will stay on as treasurer.

anyone can find any reason to change anything can you speak in advance
of the meeting.

The constitution requires 5 group members to attend AGM / Committee
members. I suggest that provided we have 4 members, including the chair,
treasurer and secretary, the meeting can go ahead if those members
present are in agreement. We should consider making this a permanent change.

Committee:

1) Finance review
2) New member recruitment / UKMSA
3) Web based media (web site, FB, Google Group etc)
4) Laser cutter usage / maintenance
5) Interaction with Grange Hall / Outbuildings
6) Any Other Business

Brendan has renewed our liability insurance on the basis of several H&S
documents being available. We need to ensure that they are in place. We
know that some documents are either provisional or not in place at all.

Bill has been involved with fire drills recently. Grange Hall should
demonstrate that fire drill are practised and has suggested that we can
help out. We can discuss in section 5) above.

We also have funding for a shed. Now that the weather is improving we
should start to plan how we continue preparation of the ground and plan
for purchasing the shed.
