Emma
Thanks for taking this on. One thing I've noticed which might be a problem is that response to emails on here is generally pretty poor - perhaps because in fact very few people regularly look at it? Is it worth doing a quick survey to find out how often people come on here (if at all)?
Cheers
Mark

Hello all

I've volunteered myself to start to organise and coordinate our calendar of events and workshops. I'm really excited to support the group and help it grow and I think a basic events calendar is a good way to entice new members as well as developing relationships with existing ones. Like I said I've volunteered to do this after a few chats with Mark, Jonathan and Amanda, but I'd be more than happy if anyone would like to work with me on this.

By the time we meet next Tuesday I will have an initial plan of how we could arrange and communicate this information across the group and to new members. I'll share this plan at the steering group meeting so if we can discuss it together and make any alterations and apply suggestions from the group.

I've set up emmader...@gmail.com as a way of keeping in touch with workshop facilitators and gathering new workshop ideas from members new and existing.

It'd be great to keep the ideas we already have and schedule them in. (see below)

I'm not at the meeting tonight so if you have any initial thoughts and ideas, please reply to this post.
In addition to that please can you start emailing any workshop ideas you have and we'll get them planned in!

Best wishes,

Emma x

Hi Emma

I spoke to Anne at KnitsQuad a couple of weeks ago about coming along and meeting you all with a view to running a yarn dyeing workshop if anybody is interested? I've not managed to get in yet but fingers crossed, the bugs and germs give ud a break and I can come and meet you all on Tuesday :) x

Hi

I am interested in coming along this coming tuesday if you are meeting.

I have lots of spare electronics stuff to share.

I design and build robots and would love to know if there are other robot builders in and around derby.

Regards
David

Hi David.

Yes we are meeting Tuesday, starting at 7. We have a pretty good mix of interests in the group including several electronics and robotics enthusiasts.

Look forward to seeing you.

Very much so.

I wonder how many succumb, like me, to a "I'll reply later" mentality, That is seductive but not too useful; it'a not clear what to do about it, though.

(And yes, I'd be up for yarn dyeing--haven't done that since the 80s!)
