Are you PLANNING to have a baby,
PREGNANT, or recently had a BABY?

Have you ever experienced
DEPRESSION or BIPOLAR DISORDER?

A new research study at UCLA may be right for you!
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
includes 8 weekly classes (2 hours each).
Each class will include up to 10 women.

In these classes, you will learn:
• Practical information about mood states, including symptoms and
warning signs.
• Ways to recognize the onset of a mood episode.
• Strategies to prevent future mood episodes.
• Skills to manage stress, which may help you feel greater ease and
peace of mind.
If you are eligible, this program will be offered to you at no charge.
You will receive a free book, CDs, and program materials.
You will be paid for completing some interviews and questionnaires.
