Yesterday, Travis Longcore with the USC Center for Sustainable Cities gave
a facinating presentation at the Urban Ecosystem Research Consortium
Symposium at PSU. He is involved in some very similar park and natural
area access mapping in Los Angeles that- down to specific details-
validates some of the approachs we used in CLF's Regional Equity Atlas.

In addition, they have developed some very cool GIS functions that allow
them to dynamically determine the impacts of siting parks in particular
areas in improving access particularly for low-income households and
people of color.

Their greenvision plan also looks like a good model for integrating equity
and ecological goals in greenspace planning.
