Hello all.  So I am back in town and ready to continue working on Depave and the permits for Fargo Garden.  I haven't seen any notes from the meeting, if there were notes taken, can someone please post them.  I kind of don't know where to go from here.  I guess right now I am filled with questions....
*Should we turn in the fee waiver letter before we turn in the permit? (It is possible to do so, but it has been recommended to me that we turn in the permit first so that we can use the permit number for reference on the letter.)
*Who is doing what for the permits? So far I have heard from Nicolette, Angela, and Ted.  There are still a few things that need attention.
*Have we turned in a revised budget and plan to our grantor so that we may begin to spend money (and pay Ted the rest of what he is owed)
*Was City Riparian discussed and if so, were there ideas thrown out as to what work could be done for that day?

I hope you all are enjoying your summer,

Hindi

Hindi and Nicolette:

Good question!  When Angela, Kasandra, and I met on Aug 14, we talked about things that have to happen before we can move forward with the permits and site plan submission.  Kasandra is tackling the easement issue with the condo association.  This HAS to be worked out before we proceed much further.  I was going to tackle the infiltration testing and talk to the city about gravel removal and soil prep.  After talking with them some more, I was convinced we should include this in our overall permit (not do gravel removal/soil prep) in a separate permit...  Part of it was that they convinced me to do another round of soil infiltration tests.

The second set of tests are now done and I am happy to report that we are under the design threshold of 2 inches per hour.  This loosens the reins on our site design considerably.  I am still trying to find time to write up my findings and sketch the layout of the infiltration basins and an overflow soakage trench (both with appropriate sizing) on the preliminary site plan that Angela and Hindi drafted.  That is my next step, then I think we should all talk about finalizing the design...and getting the grant finalized with BES.

But before that, we really need to secure the easement agreement with the condo association.  Any news Kasandra?

My sense on the City Riparian opportunity is that we need to get our site design into the city first, then schedule the fall work party or parties.  Hopefully we can get this done so that some of the work could be accomplished as part of the City Riparian effort.  I am starting to share Angela's concern about our lack of time to get this done.  Especially with the recent rain and my sense that fall might already be here!
