Dear Towards Carfree Cities volunteers,
It's been a few months
since the conference, and it's past due time to celebrate properly. All
of your hard work and awesome dedication, on the big picture as well as
the uncountable details, produced an incredibly successful event. Not
only did the conference go smoothly from a logistical and hospitality
perspective, but our big, some say crazy, ideals have gained serious
traction. In short, we all deserve a big party.
Whether you attended lovingly to a single, well-chosen detail, took
on a huge chunk of event planning to the detriment of your home and
work life, or gave much-needed advice and comfort, please join us on
Sunday,
October 19th from 3pm to 7pm at Steph's house:
705 N.
Alberta St.
Portland, OR 97217
The event is pot luck for
food; the conference budget still has enough vavoom to cover beer.
Free t-shirts for everyone. At around 5 we'll raffle off volunteer appreciation prizes (raffle might not be the best word, since no money will change hands).
Bring your best thoughts and ideas about What Next for the carfree
movement in Portland.
Feel free to bring significant others, friends, and future volunteers as well.
See you then!
Elly
