Hi all,
A reminder that National Ask an Atheist Day is this Thursday, April 19th! This is a day designed to help us secular types raise our public profile a bit on campus and engage with people who may not have had any previous interaction with the godless, and not necessarily be confrontational, but answer their questions about us and our viewpoints. We will have a table set up in the Student Center from 11-4 as the focal point of this effort, but this is something that should be happening campus-wide. So, please make sure to come by the table at some point during the day and pick up your "Ask an Atheist" sticker, and spread the word far and wide about the table and what's happening!
That same night, JT Eberhard, renowned badass and High School Organizer for the Secular Student Alliance, will be in town to attend along with myself and Arthur an activism fair with Noam Chomsky which is unfortunately not open to the public. Nevertheless, we will be organizing a meetup with him that night so you can talk to and hang out with him, and possibly Hemant Mehta of Friendly Atheist fame! Have no fear, we will make sure this is in a under-21 friendly venue to start off.
