Hi. I have an iPad 3rd generation and iOS version is 9.3.6. I cannot install any of widely used applications which I need for my work and daily use. App Store tells that those apps are not compatible with my iPad. What can I do to installed them?

I would STOP using that nearly 4-year old Safari web browser, as it is, probably, not safe and secure to use any longer, and seek out a third party web browser that is STILL currently being updated and STILL being supported on iOS 9.3.5.

Many App Developers have fully dropped support for older devices and iOS versions preceding iOS11/12/13 - and have withdrawn older versions of their Apps from the Apple App Store, now limiting their utility and usefulness. Once withdrawn, such Apps are no longer available for (re)download or (re)installation - which has negative implications for older devices If they ever have to be reset or restored.

If Apps that you need to use now have higher minimum iOS-version requirements, your only option is to replace your iPad with newer model. Of current models, even iPad7 model supports current iPadOS 13.x and forthcoming iPadOS14 - and has hardware specifications and capabilities that will vastly outperform your old iPad3.

Some Apps have equivalent web portals - allowing you to access some services from a browser. Unfortunately, this mechanism is also becoming more limited as web browsers that you can install/use are also becoming scarce - or unsupported by the target platform.

Apple devices that can't update to the latest version of iOS will eventually get "left behind" by apps when they update their platforms to require newer software updates. You can still download older versions of apps, but the way to do so is a bit hidden.

All you need to do is power on your old device and open up the App Store. From there, click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. It should have your profile picture or your initials on a gray background.

From there, you can tap on the Purchased button. Under My Purchases, you'll find a list of all the apps that you've previously downloaded and installed on your iPhones and iPads.

Once you see the list, you can scroll or search for the app in question. What you won't be able to find is apps that have been completely stricken from the app store, either by the developer, or by Apple's purge of unupdated apps.

Tapping on this iCloud icon will install the app on your device. Don't tap away from this screen just yet, however. If the latest version of the app isn't compatible with the current iOS version you have, you'll have to wait a minute or so.

If this is the case, the App Store will display a notification saying that you can't download the latest version of the app. However, it will offer an alternative version of the app that you will be able to download.

This will technically be an "outdated" version of the app in question, but the upside is that you'll still be able to run it on the older device. You're not going to get the latest-and-greatest experience when you install an older version of an app.

One issue with this method is that you're only going to be able to download apps that you've previously "purchased" in the past. However, there's a workaround that will let you get apps that you've never installed.

The workaround requires a newer iOS or iPadOS device. An additional limitation is that it's difficult to know whether the app in question actually still supports your old hardware. You'll have to figure that out by trial and error, but it's worth a shot.

5.300 is also available for Windows.
If you are using the Microsoft Store, go to the Library page, and press the Get updates button, then Update all. It should force the store to update Shapr3D too.

Alternatively, you can use the installer downloaded from our website (but before you can, you have to remove the MS Store version of the app, 2 cannot be installed at the same time), where you get the updates immediately after they are released, and you restart the app.

Laci can you tell me if the latest Windows Shapr3d version has be pushed out to the Microsoft Store yet because i updated #hspr3d for the ipad and then went to the Windows version now one of my designs says it is incompatible version again, let me know

I am using the latest version on the ipad which i think is 5340 but when i go to see if there is a update windows version on the Microsoft store it show only version 5.332.4927.which it the windows version that i am currently using, any thoughts. this seems to be a issue that comes up when bringing a design up on a newer version on the ipad and then going to the windows version that has not been updated yet my design has issues opening.

Yes I just did that but Shapr3d for windows did not show any new updates it is still showing as version 5.332.4927, I guess what I can do is what I had to do before and uninstall Shapr3d for windows and reinstall it the problem with that is that it takes a while to re-sync all my designs.

Laci can you tell me what the Shapr3d Windows latest version is because i just reinstalled it and it from Microsoft store it shows as 5.332.4927.0 version but the design that had issues it is still saying one of my designs that i worked on my ipad which is at 5.340.0.4939 is a incompatible design.

Interested companies are already lining up: On Jan. 16, Disney announced it will have Disney Plus for the Apple Vision Pro, which will bring 3D movies to Vision Pro users at launch, including Avatar: The Way of Water and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as hyperrealistic Disney environments that allow you to watch movies and TV shows in places like Star Wars' Tatooine and Marvel's Avengers Tower.

In fact, several major companies are choosing to not build exclusive Vision Pro apps for their services, nor make their existing apps compatible, most notably Netflix, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Instead, if you want to use Netflix on the Vision Pro, you'll have to access it through your web browser, just as you would on your computer.

Apple announced that over 600 apps with native support for Vision Pro will be available when the headset launches in the US on Friday. And that's in addition to the over 1 million compatible apps across both iOS and iPadOS.

As mentioned above, Netflix is a notable absentee from the Vision Pro. Not only is Netflix not building an app for the Vision Pro but its iPhone/iPad app won't support VisionOS either. A Netflix spokesperson told Bloomberg, "Our members will be able to enjoy Netflix on the web browser on the Vision Pro, similar to how our members can enjoy Netflix on Macs."

YouTube is another major service that won't be building a dedicated app for the Vision Pro. Again, if you want to watch YouTube videos on the Vision Pro, you'll have to access it via Safari or another web browser. The iPhone/iPad app won't support VisionOS as well.

Spotify reportedly isn't planning on developing an app for the Vision Pro or making its iPhone/iPad app accessible either, and Meta may be skipping the headset as well, according to reports.

Along with Apple apps such as Apple Arcade (hundreds of games), Apple Music, Apple TV and Safari, at launch, these are a few of the third-party apps that will be available as native or compatible apps on the Vision Pro:

This is obviously not a complete list, considering there are over a million apps that will work on the Vision Pro. And even if your app doesn't work with the Vision Pro, like Netflix, you can still access it through Safari or another web browser.

SkySafari 7 Pro is the best stargazing app for use with a telescope because of everything else it does. Not only does it allow tracking with Celestron StarSense telescopes, but it has new LiveSky and SkyCast features, too.

The Night Sky 11 stargazing app is best for iOS Apple device users. In fact, it should work on iPad, Mac and Apple TV (though we haven't tested the Apple TV version). It has a detailed user interface and is capable of adjusting for light pollution. We gave it nearly full marks in our full review because how easy it is to use, especially for beginners.

SkySafari 7 Pro is the best stargazing app overall, according to our extensive full reviews. We think it's the best stargazing app for Android devices, but it's also compatible with iOS devices and it won't disappoint on either platform.

Having one of the best stargazing apps installed on your phone is a great idea if you're interested in the night sky. These powerful tools have many uses, whether you're a novice skywatcher, a seasoned astronomer or an avid astrophotographer.

Every stargazing app is a little different in one way or another, with each app having unique features and tools. Generally, however, they're all helpful in learning about the night sky, pinpointing particular celestial objects or as a tool to help when setting up a telescope.

Now's a particularly good time to invest in one of the best stargazing apps, however: We're just a few weeks away from the total solar eclipse, which will be visible in North America on April 8. Where an app has specific features that will help in viewing the solar eclipse, you'll find it mentioned below.

Stargazing apps can be helpful when setting up one of the best telescopes or the best telescopes for deep space and have offline functionality, which means you aren't reliant on the internet to keep them working in remote areas. They use the GPS on your phone to guide you, so you should be able to point your phone at the sky and get started.

For astrophotographers particularly, setting up one of the best cameras for astrophotography often means going off-grid to avoid light pollution. The best stargazing apps can help you to find your shot without weighing you down with unnecessary (and heavy) kit, as they run conveniently on a smartphone, so as long as you have your phone on you, you'll have access to their guidance.
