Hey there! Just felt like sharing my experience here. I'm pretty sure that most of you wouldn't consider Audiotools a safe website, but this is mostly for other people / search engines to find and hopefully save someone some stress (plus, more verification that a website is not safe is always welcome). I've used this site mostly for samples, which I still think are safe as audio files are obviously safer.
I made the mistake though of tempting myself and downloading a plugin and then installing it. Like 10 minutes later, windows defender flagged an issue, an when I checked it out, it had found the Zpevdo.B trojan in my computer. I investigated a bit and realized it is a trojan that appears as a result of chain infections from other trojans. For that reason I simply decided to play it safe and reinstalled windows completely. I didn't lose anything cause I always have backups, but still, it is a pain in the ass to reinstall everything in my computer.
