ThanksNic. I bought it from the official Sony store in a fancy mall on Orchard road not from one of the electronics shops in the plazas so doubt I was scammed. I found out about the limited tourist warranty from the Sony website and have a stamped document which is the warranty. The product is fine it's the registration that is the problem.
Sorry I've not been back for a while. I have today registered the walkman, the only problem I had was I couldn't get Singapore in the country of purchase box so I left it as UK and put Singapore into the next box where town should be. Has the NW-A45 been released in the UK yet? maybe if it has then thats why I am able to register it?

In this case, I would recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team so they can arrange a repair for you, as the device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre.
If you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and so forth, they will answer this for you as well.

Hello there. My situation is kinda more complicated. I have set the fingerprint one year and never had any kind of problem. I have updated over 2 months ago and didn't dmface any problem. Suddenly without any kind of security changes the fingeprint setup disappeared! In one night. I tried set up a new one and got the message in the screenshot. This message appears just before the setup ends, in the last touch usually. I have created 2 users, in the second one the fingerprint manager is working just fine! Same mobile different users.... And the main one has the problem! Isnt it weird? What can I do?
Got same when added second profile - for unlocking main profile it just told me "fingerprint hardware not available", while still working on locking up second profile. Deleted second profile, but same. Deleted all fingerprints in main profile, but now in the very end of adding new fingerprint I get this enrollment timeout error. Sensor test OK.
It seems like alot of sony Xperia phone users are having the same problem including me Xperia z5 premium , and sony so doing nothing about that yet , this company need to send update to fix this stupid problem , why there is no one From supervisors or technical support did send a ticket at least , sony was my favourite company but now i had to say this i brought the phone with fingerprint and i got one year with that and two years without fingerprint because of stupid bug that need a simple update , shame on you sony .

If you have done previous troubleshooting that I have posted in this thread, there is a hardware fault with the sensor and the device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre. Your Local support team will assist you further with this, so get in touch with them.

The fingerprint sensor is working like one day every 3 month or something like that so its not a hardware problem its a software one , In my country we don't have Local support team so that option is not realy in the list , as i said its a software program and y...

If no Local support is available in the country where you are situated, please get in touch with the retailer that sold you the device and ask how you can have it repaired.
You can of course try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion if you haven't done that, but if it still doesn' work, a technician will need to examine the device.
Has anyone had a similar issue? It seems incredulous Samsung would ignore the proof and facts the way the are with me. I have 7 of their Televisions and will now replace them as they come up for renewal.
