In view of the increasing queries on internet coming from all over the world, the Darul Uloom Deoband authorities have started separate Darul Ifta website: www.darulifta-deoband.org. This bilingual (Urdu & English) database website will be one of the world’s best fatwa websites that will provide replies to the Islamic queries in Urdu and English. Those wishing to ask any question regarding Islam and Muslims may visit this website and get their questions answered in the light of authentic Islamic sources.
The website offers facility of asking questions in Urdu and English both. Likewise, the questioner can get answer in either of the languages. All questions will be answered by the Darul Ifta in Urdu and then will be translated and posted on the website by Internet Department. For users, all the posted replies will always remain on the website under related titles. Interestingly, the Urdu section will also be text-based, providing facilities of copy, paste, search and so on.

Seeing the importance of modern information technology in this age, Darul Uloom Deoband established Computer Department in 1996. Later, when internet service was introduced in the country, Darul Uloom floated its official website (www.darululoom-deoband.com) in four languages; Urdu, Arabic, English and Hindi. Since its inception, the website offered email facility enabling people to consult Darul Uloom’s Darul Ifta for their matters and problems. In past years, a large number of responses have been recorded towards Darul Uloom’s online fatwa service. So in 2006, Darul Uloom established a separate Internet Department, which besides maintaining the official website of Darul Uloom, updates the two Urdu and Arabic magazines of Darul Uloom on internet. The Darul Ifta website activities will also be carried out by the same Department.
