The University of Denver is offering a food systems and food justice class, listed in their Center for Professional Development section, as "Transforming the Community Food System," being taught by Patti Iwasaki, MSW, Mondi Mason Ph.D., and Shannon Spurlock, MNM. DU has allowed us to facilitate a reduced rate of 20% if you go online and register using the "Instructor VIP discount code--code GSSW-VIP when registering to receive a 20% discount, taking the course price from $300 to $240 for 9 hours of content.

If you think you are interested but want to see if you can find more financial assistance with the cost of the class, please email Christine Gallager, Christine...@du.eduas the CPD program is trying to determine course interest by end of day, Feb. 22nd! There are 3 sessions scheduled (3-hr. each) beginning Tuesday, February 26 and ending Tuesday, March 12th.
We appreciate it if you expressing interest, particularly if timing and scheduling for such a class is bad during winter months! They may consider offering the course at another time!
