To all,

Greg, over at CDOT, has helped me secure a room at the Tivoli Student
Union in Denver for Wed. April 22 for World Plone Day. I have setup a
page to advertise this event at:
http://www.coresoftwaregroup.com/colorado-world-plone-day

I have stated that this event will be co-sponsored by the Denver Plone
Users Group, so I would like to hear from folks as to whether they can
attend, and if so, if anyone is interested in presenting anything.

I will present 1 or 2 presentations, but if anyone wants to give a long,
or short, presentation, let me know. I think it would be good to have a
few longer, more formal presentations, then maybe a few shorter show and
tell sessions. If anyone would like to show off what they have done at
work (or for fun), that would be great. After that we can just have
casual conversations and hands on demos.

I have added an RSVP form to the above link which inquires as to how the
person attending uses Plone. I'll advertise this link in a few places,
and we'll see if we get some attendees and find out what they want to
hear about.

Thanks for any thoughts. I'll wait to hear from you, polish up the
above link, then I'll start marketing the event.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

I plan to be there to help out.  I am not very well prepaired, but I have some time and can pull together a short presentation if that is what is needed.  I could update our analysis of what CMS to use, though I am not sure how far I can get with that in a week.  I could also talk a bit about PAS and the authentication model.  I am not sure if that would be too low level or not.  It still might be useful for people to see possibilities.

Do we have hardware to demo Plone on?  I might be able to bring a laptop or two to demo on.  Let me know what is needed.

Dayne,

Thanks. I have no idea what the turnout will be like or who may be
there in addition of our normal user groups folks. I have heard from
one person who may be newbie-ish. I will plan to have some vanilla
presentations ready should we need them, otherwise, we should plan to do
some more developer-related talks and discussions. I think any info you
can share about what you learned about PAS would be great. It probably
only needs to be 10 or 15 minutes long -- then we can discuss.

I think we'll have all of our laptops to use for demos. We will have a
projector, too.

Thanks,

Chris

Sound good.  What I have will be pretty low-key as well.

Hi Chris,
this sounds exciting and would like to help in anyway I can.   I can talk about how plone is being implemented in Higher Education Institutions and some of the tools we have have implemented.

I will get something more specific this weekend

thanks again for organizing this.
