Game location still needed...again.

Okay guys... so, no one has come forward with a location offer. Naturally this has myself and Dan a bit concerned, since we can't very well have a game without a location. I realize there has been little to no reward offered to come up with a location, but I'd sort of hope the reward would be having a game.

That said, I haven't gotten any suggestions or anything in regards to game location, and seeing as it's this weekend, that's a big big problem. I am once more putting out there that we still need a place, in the hopes that someone has an idea. People have suggested parks before, but I don't know how feasible that is as an option, as most parks close at ten, I believe.

If you have location suggestions, PLEASE let me know.

ALSO... we STILL have at least one player (Deanna) who needs a ride. As far as I know, she still has not gotten any offers, and I am sadly unable to do it this month. She'd really like to be able to come so if anyone can pick her up or drop her off, or both (she lives next to Flatirons Mall), contact her offlist at darkglamo...@gmail.com

Thanks, guys!

If I could provide a location I would, but my apartment is just too small. I hope we find a location soon!

So I have a pertinant question. Do ANY of our players go to a college?

Deanna,

I can give you a ride to/from game.  Unfortunately,  my place won't be available for a game site.

I think a club also requires a faculty advisor to sign off.

I haven't listed any suggestions because everything I've tried looking into has been a) not available late enough, b) ridiculously expensive, and/or c) unwilling to host a game.

I did not want to offer my place as I hosted a game night this past weekend and didn't want to do that (super late night with a ton of people they don't know) to my husband and housemates two weeks in a row. That said, since we still don't have a location, I will broach the subject with everyone. I can't garuntee they'll be okay with it, but I can ask.

Also, Deanna, if for some reason Mike can't get you, I may be able to pick you up beforehand. I am planning on going to Afters this time so I don't know if I'd be able to take you back (depending on whether or not you wanted to go as well).

Looks like everyone is going to be out of the house all day Saturday and not getting back until late, so no one minds if we hold things here.

In terms of usable space, we have:

-The foyer (which is full of James' sound equipment, so no action scenes in there). Plenty of room for a small-to-medium group to break away from the main area.

-The main living area. The living room, kitchen, and dining nook would be a single playing space. Everyone should be able to easily fit into this area at the same time.

-The upstairs loft. The arcade games and book shelves take up a fair amount of space in the loft, but there's still enough room for a small-to-medium group.

-The upstairs office. This should only be used for small scenes that require privacy.

-The front yard. Any action scenes should probably take place in the front yard. We have a smallish porch if people just want to step away from everyone for a bit.

If everyone thinks that's a workable amount of space and/or if we don't have a better option, I'm happy to host.

Looks like we have nailed down a location, actually, Lesley, but if that falls through, I'd love to take advantage of your generous offer. :) Thank you!

Thank you so much to the poeple that have offered Deanna rides, and the people that have been helping with Locations. I will be handing out the Karma i have been promising this game, at Pre, to show my appreciation.

My address is:

16158 Randolph Pl
Denver, CO 80239

It's pretty far north, (up near the airport) but only about a half hour drive from both the Tech Center and central Denver. If you're coming from the DTCish area, take I-225 North to I-70 East; if you're coming from central Denver, take I-25 North to I-70 East, if you're coming from further north, take I-270 East to I-70 East; and if you're coming from further east than central Denver... well, I'm sorry. It's pretty much going to suck regardless of what route you take.

Once you're on I-70 East, take the exit for Pena Blvd (exit 284). Then take the exit for 56th Ave (exit 2) and turn left at the light. Less than a mile down, turn left on Laredo St into a residential area. You will almost immediately come to a stop sign. Turn left again at the stop sign onto Randolph Pl. Go past the first block of houses and it's the second house on the right, in the second block. It's a two story, dark red and brown house (mud and blood) with a white porch. Our house number is on one of the uprights of the porch, but for some reason no one ever seems to notice it.

If anyone gets lost, my number is 303.345.3184. I should be available for the vast majority of the day.

Yay for game sites that are only a few blocks from my home!

Lesley, thank you for volunteering your home as a site. We really appreciate it. :)

Okay, so thanks to Leora we're going to have a Hooka Pipe there.  Thanks Leora.

If anyone wants to bring eastern or mid-eastern decor for the house, that would be cool.  I *believe* the idea is that the changelings will have seasonal access to the orient via a "trod", so this will allow Constantinople limited access to the East even though, historically, such trade did not open up till much later.

I'm waiting for Dan on some stuff, but if you want to dress for the theme, I think my character can provide you with a means to do so.

See you Saturday..

I do know it's a no smoking house so the hooka is going to be set up out front.  Not sure about incense though.
