MINIMUM SALARY: $1,950.654

DUTIES: Performs administration of
the wide area network including, but not limited to, maintaining active
directory, ensuring system security and data integrity, performing backups, as
well as installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting network servers,
and infrastructure such as voice, data, and fiber optic cabling, uninterruptible
power supplies, network circuits, routers, switches and other related
components. The employee is also responsible for coordination and
supervision of vendors and consultants hired by Denton County and serve as the
lead technician that will be in charge of Technical Services in the absence of
the Technical Services Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree
in computer science, computer programming, or a related field, or completion of
an approved systems engineering and development program; and 3 to 5 years of
experience with designing, implementing, and administering advanced networks
systems and infrastructures and experience with PC software and PC repair; or an
equivalent combination of education and related experience.
REQUIREMENTS: Comp TIA Network +,
Comp TIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional. Comp TIA Server+, Dell
Certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/ Microsoft Certified Systems
Administrator and/or Cisco Systems Certifications preferred. Works 40 hours/week
and overtime as required.
