This sounds like a threat plain and simple! Either request the new gas
well ordinances do not apply to Robson Ranch or we will be forced to
build more gas wells around you home.

What the bloody hell is a "gas park?"  Who is Steve Soriano?

I can't be there Monday because I have to be in Grand Prairie.

We should do something with that gas park bull. Juxtapose that quote with articles about the children who got blown to bits when they played and smoked in gas parks.

You know a gas park! The tank batteries are a great place to play hide
and seek. You can teach your children how to swim in the fracture
ponds while they learn valuable lesson in fire safety.

I will ask if they need someone to go and if so I will go.

Exercise helps the body eliminate gas, says Dr. Sterne.

For passing gas can quickly become a social problem for kids as well
as adults.

Maybe this is what a gas park's main focus is, Worry about what is
coming out of the backside (gas) but don't be concerned what is going
in the front side (toxic air).

''Tell your kid, 'If you pass gas in public, you can't play with your
video games'--or whatever else is his current favorite pastime. You'll
find he'll get really good at stopping it.'' Do you think this would
work for Devon or Encana?

I love this part:

"If new houses around current and future gas
wells are prohibited, Robson will have to reconsider aspects of the
development. The proposed regulations may substantially reduce the number
of houses permitted in Robson Ranch, and this may affect the amenities
constructed in the future. As gas leases are already signed, the choice
between new houses or new gas wells has already been made. Similarly, you
have already decided to live in a community that has gas wells. No new
regulations will cause any wells in the vicinity of your houses to be
 removed."

What a bunch of bullshit. What he really means is "I hope you Robson people are stupid and gullible enough to believe my story so you will back down and I can continue drilling."

I live in Lantana and we have drilling in our community too. No one ever clearly stated the ramifications of drilling and I'm sure the same thing has occurred in Robson Ranch as well. Do not be intimidated by these people. That is their goal. If they convince us that we cannot change the rules, they will win. Gas companies and mineral owners have the right to develop their land, but not at the expense of others.

I told the people at Robson Ranch I would just boycott the meeting. Send a message loud and clear "WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY". The total tone of that letter was intimidation plain and simple, if you do not help us get the gas wells grandfathered then we will build more wells closer to your homes. DON'T GO TO THEIR MEETING HAVE YOUR OWN AND FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GET THIS GOON OFF YOU HOA BOARD.

Well I went to the meeting tonight at Robson Ranch and there are a lot
of scared homeowners who bought the bullshit of Ed Robson henchman
Steve Soriano. No one from industry had the guts to show up and the
presentation Steve Soriano made was so misleading a blind man could
have seen through it. But when he started threatening the home owners
with no more homes built, decreased home values and amenties, well
things took a turn for the worse. So it looks like the Robson Ranch
folks do not want the 1000ft setback or delay the ordinances until
they can be grandfathered out of them. The ordinances must be passed
tomorrow night or the gas companies will kill us with so many new gas
wells we will start looking like Fort Worth. Turn out and speak in
favor of adopting the new ordinances to include the 1000ft set-back.

Jesus, they just need to look at the damn well on Bonnie Brae that is next to a hospital and across the stree from a park. What do they think that does for home values nearby? Wish I had read these emails sooner. I would have gone to that meeting and raised some hell.

Sincerely,

Well Robson Ranch folks showed up in mass last night and it was a
divided group but 2 residence I spoke with today are glad Robson can
still build all his homes next to the "gas parks". Now they feel their
property values are safe! Well to each his own we all have to do what
is best for ourselves in the end.
You should have seen Ed Robson's henchman at the meeting last night.
He was pathetic, spoke first, and they let him talk for almost 30
minutes when the time limit was 3 minutes. I guess Chris Watts wanted
to make sure his district could make their concerns known. I think
Chris Watts almost did not vote for the ordinance because he did not
feel the 'industry had enough input in designing the new ordinances".
Of course that statement was made long after almost everyone left for
the evening.

Did you explain to these idiots that the fracting lowers property values, endangers the structure of their home and poisons the air and the water making it not safe for their grandkids to come visit? But mostly IT LOWERS THEIR PROPERTY VALUE!

How big of a moron do you have to be to not get that? What morons! I would have lost it with them. You showed more control than I would have, Cathy.

You know I have learned in the last year from Sharon Wilson from, Oil
and Gas Accountability Project, everyone comes to this fight for
different reason. We have to learn to respect those reason and not
judge them or we will alienate a large population of the support we
need.

The people at Robson are well educated people with their back up
against the wall. Most of the homeowners have so much invested in
their retirement home they are scared and easily influenced by
intimidation. I saw a crowd of over 300 people change their agenda in
a matter of 1 hour when threatened with more gas well and a certain
decrease in their home values by the home builder. It was kind of sad
to see so many neighbors fighting with each other because of Ed
Robson's paid henchman from Arizona.

All I can say is just be thankful we live in a neighborhood where we
can make a difference and don't have to pay huge HOA due so someone
can tell us what to do.

I don't really show control. Ask anyone who has gone to the public
meeting with me but my friends in this battle usually calm me down and
bring me back to reality.
