The training of all undergraduate health sciences students needs them to be competent in managing the sick. This requires practice and the practice cannot be allowed in real life settings as it may harm the patients. To ensure a balance between patient safety and adequate training the Simulation Education is the only valid and reliable option. However current clinical educators in health professions are not adequately trained to design and conduct simulation based clinical training sessions for their students that can mimic real life situations. This may lead to compromised training and in turn inadequate levels of patient safety and patient management. The 3 months certification program aims to provide training to all educators in health professions who are interested in designing courses, modules and programs using low and high fidelity simulators. This will ensure that our students master the skills that qualify them as safe practitioners.
