Inmy experience the WDS GUI is not great for adding drivers and falls over like you are experiencing, if you are comfortable adding the drivers via the command line DISM tools I would do it that way it is a lot more stable.
On current market various identical model of Easy Cap video capture device with a USBTV007 chip inside is available with different Vendor/Product ID stamped inside USB Device ID. So before going to compile other driver insted of using built-in 'usbtv' modules comes with linux image package by default. Issue command bellow on a terminal
Look for ID 1d71:3002 somewhere within output of lsusb command, if matchd, you are lucky, your system might have driver for your device. If not, don't be hopeless. Lets see what unique ID you have?
What it needed was adding single line on usbtv driver souce file name usbtv-core.c and recompiling it on fly. To do so you need to have usbtv source code with various component of v4l linux project. I would recommend you to download and work with full kernel source on hand but only recompiling module source after adding single line for adding your device ID on driver base. I am giving bellow step by step command. I am ignoring description of steps for quick finish. Let me know if it give you hard time understand. I will edit to add details later.
With line 0x1f71 as vendor id and 0x3301 as product ID you are instructing your driver to load as soon any device with matching ID tag inserted on USB port. Try changing other Product/Vendor ID if you sure of UTV007 chip set on your device. Point is to have your own product/vendor ID match with drivers one. Now try compiling modules by:

Someone could please help us to initiate a sample capture callback function using drv_input_capture.h? Our goal is to implement a sensor driver that depends on the signal frequency, in other words, calculate the time delay between to consequent raising or falling edges and convert it into a measurement.
In fact, px4fmu was not very useful at this point. I had to deploy a particular driver using explicitly this function: _input_capture.h#L178. I think that it may be easier if you set up port 5 or 6, cf. Pixhawk - Enabling GPIO output
This section describes how to create video capture minidrivers, which follow the Windows Driver Model (WDM) architecture. It assumes familiarity with concepts discussed in Kernel Streaming. For information on creating a minidriver for audio-only devices, the Audio devices Design Guide.
With the integration of DVD, MPEG decoders, video decoders and tuners, video port extensions (VPEs), and audio codecs on single adapters, a unified driver model that supports all these devices and handles resource contention simplifies development efforts.
The AVStream and Stream class interfaces both provide a framework that provide support for integrated devices. These interfaces support data transfer between kernel-mode drivers. These data transfers do not require a thread to transition to user mode, thereby avoiding a performance hit.
Both interfaces support a uniform streaming model for standard and custom data types. Microsoft defines property sets for most standard devices. Vendors can provide additional property sets if needed.
Microsoft recommends that all new video capture drivers use the AVStream interface. Microsoft provides the Stream class interface for backward compatibility. However, the Stream class interface is obsolete, and Microsoft has discontinued its further development.
Note : This section does not describe the obsolete Video for Windows (VfW) technology. VfW was optimized for capturing movies to disk. Features important to video conferencing, TV viewing, capture of video fields, and ancillary data streams are missing from the VfW architecture. To circumvent these limitations, vendors have added proprietary extensions to VfW. However, without standardized interfaces, applications that use these features must include hardware-dependent code.To bridge the VfW and WDM driver models, Microsoft provides a VfW-to-WDM mapper as part of the operating system. This component enables WDM drivers to appear as VfW drivers for legacy VfW applications.
COT was working fine with Mac OS 12 (Monterey) but since I upgraded to OS 13 Ventura, Ventura says COT "is damaged." When I downloaded a new copy, it always say, "installation failed!" My scanner is Canon ImageFormula R40. So my scanner is useless until Canon releases a new COT?
Once that is done, please click HERE and download/install the TWAIN Driver and CaptureOnTouch software. Please be advised that currently there is no driver or software for MacOS13 so on the webpage click macOS13 and change it to macOS12. Then you will be able to download the drivers.
I followed your instructions but Mac OS13 couldn't install the Driver for OS12 nor the COT for OS12. I called the Enterprise & Desktop Solutions Division but they said that there's currently no software for OS13. So I'll just wait it out. Thanks, anyway.
Thank you for the instructions on how to install for MacOS13. The instructions worked great.
I made certain to download only the software you mentioned, and not the other software that's listed under MacOS12. I'm not sure which of the two you're supposed to download first. I just happen to install the TWAIN Driver software first and then theCaptureOnTouch software. All is well. Thanks again.
I'm on Ventura and very unhappy, because I followed your Setup Guide, chose "Mac" on the Japanese site, and am stuck with a scanner that doesn't work. I tried to uninstall what I could find, installed the Ventura software (labeled incoherently) but it still doesn't work.
Great! Your installer doesn't uninstall, as well-written ones do. So, where is this driver? What is its file name? What other software is there? Where is it? How many files? What are their names? Is that essential info too much to expect from a Product Expert? Why can't the Japanese site be updated to not lead people into this morass?
I upgraded to MacOS Ventura and my scanner keeps giving an error that says "Error - The system cannot find the path specified." I tried following the directions above twice but no luck. Still get the error. Any ideas on what I can do?
We use this to scan all of our client documents. It works great and it's easy to setup and use! I was surprised that it scans so quickly and that it scans both sides at once. We were scanning with a MFP. This scanner is a tremendous step up and has already increase our productivity and workflow. Best piece of office equipment that I've ever bought.

I am running on an iMX6QDL and I would like to configure the GPT input capture channels. I have not located any Linux drivers that allow me to configure the GPT registers and read the count register. I have seen the imx6-gpt driver and it doesn't seem to do much other than set the clocks and enable the interrupt. I would like to configure the input channels as well. Anyone have any thoughts on how to achieve this?

I know you can prevent it from doing that simply by unchecking it, but why would you need to inject the drivers into the sysprepped image? I'm curious if I even need to do it or if I should do it. What scenario would you need an image with the injected drivers?
