Summer is finally here, and there's no better way to beat the heat than staying in and having a great movie night. As temperatures start to get higher, so do the number of movies on the platform, from romances like Set It Up to recent Oscar contenders like Rustin and Nyad. Whether you're looking for something deep and thought-provoking or light for the whole family, there are a plethora of incredible films on Netflix. With over 40 amazing movies on this list alone, it can be difficult to choose, but our carefully written recommendations will help you find just what you're looking for.

An absurdist comedy-drama film of epic proportions, Everything Everywhere All at Once was written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, aka The Daniels. The movie stars Michelle Yeoh as Evelyn Quan Wand, a Chinese-American immigrant who, while being audited by the IRS, finds herself connected to different versions of herself across parallel universes. Evelyn then unwittingly becomes embroiled in a fantastical adventure to stop a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. The film also stars Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, and James Hong. On its release, Everything Everywhere All at Once was a massive success and earned universal acclaim. The film made history at the 95th Academy Awards with 11 nominations and seven wins, including the Best Actress Award for Yeoh, who became the first Asian woman nominated in the category. Though billed as a comedy, the film incorporates elements of science fiction, fantasy, martial arts, and animation to explore themes of absurdism, surrealism, depression, generational trauma, and Asian-American identity.

Oscar winners Annette Bening and Jodie Foster dominate in the biographical sports drama Nyad. Directed by documentarians Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, Nyad is their feature directorial debut, which benefits from their experience capturing authenticity. As expected from most sports dramas and biopics, Nyad shares a story of perseverance, the triumphs of determination, and a message of hope, showcased by the undeniable on-screen power of Bening and Foster.

In 1972, a Uruguayan flight crashed while carrying a rugby team on their way to Chile, and the survivors of the wreck had to work together to survive in the treacherously cold weather of the Andes. This real-life event is the subject of J.A. Bayona's film Society of the Snow, which tackles the incredible story of the survivors and their attempts to survive for two months in the mountains. Director Bayona got the idea for the film upon discovering the book The Society of the Snow, which was written by Pablo Vierci, and used the same name for his film. The cast, largely composed of newcomers in the acting world, is completely composed of Uruguayan and Argentinian performers.

The film was nominated for two Oscars, including Best International Feature Film, a Golden Globe for Best Non-English Language Film, and a Critic's Choice Award for the same category. With a budget of 60 million euros, The Society of Snow is the most expensive Spanish film ever made. With music by Michael Giacchino, the film is acclaimed for its emotional undertone and important message. - Emily Cappello

Hope someone can help! There is a movie in my Save List, specifically Glass Onion, which is a Netflix movie. I want to delete that movie from my list, and there is no option to do so. I do understand that Netflix doesn't work with the Save List, which is the problem - the movie must have been in the My Feed queue before it changed over to Save List, and now it's stuck there. Just as you can't add a Netflix movie to your save list, you also, apparently, cannot delete a Netflix movie from the list.

I want to be very clear, before a rep responds, that I absolutely already know how to add and delete movies from my Save List the standard ways, and I do it all the time. However, the option to remove this particular item is just not there. But there must be some kind of recourse or workaround so it doesn't just remain stuck there forever.

So, any words of advice from the community? Anyone else had this issue and resolved it? If a rep can help, that would be great! (I also can't figure out how to contact Roku directly anymore, as used to be available.)

This issue is annoying me so much that I'd happily clear my entire Save List and re-add everything, just to get this one movie to disappear, lol. If that's an option, I also haven't figured out how to do that - how to clear the Save List (hopefully without doing a factory reset, which I'm not sure would even solve the problem).

Otherwise, search Google for "Roku telephone number" and look at the results just below the "People also ask" section. I tried to post one of the links (P***edConsumer.com), but my post got flagged and deleted.

For what it's worth, I managed to chat with a Roku representative, who was not able to help me at all. Like, AT ALL. Kept telling me to sign into Netflix and remove it from that list. Somehow I doubt that would help, because it's a separate list! Not to mention I am not even currently subscribed to Netflix - I don't even think it was in my Netflix queue, and I can't view it anyway, obviously. Regardless, there's another title stuck in my Roku Save list that has nothing to do with Netflix, and it too is stuck there.

OMG, I went in infuriating circles trying to explain this on the chat, and ended up basically being told there's nothing anyone can do about it. Not great, Roku. I'm pretty patient and understanding about most things, but ugh.

So the gist is, if there's a title which found its way onto your Save List in the past, and is currently either a Netflix title or not currently available to stream anywhere (aka "no providers found"), then you cannot delete it. And apparently Roku cannot or will not delete it for you. (Nor can you clear your entire Save List and start from scratch, apparently.) Seems like a system bug that needs to be fixed, and maybe I should report it that way, at least.

Again, that option doesn't exist on my app. I may have a different version of the app, I don't know, but it is not there - there are no dots at all when viewing the list as a whole, instead there's a box to check or uncheck on each title. I'll try to include some photos, to show what I'm seeing on my app:

Idris Elba ("Thor," "The Suicide Squad") stars as a West African warlord known as The Commandant, leading a rebel battalion against government forces. As the rebels fight the falling government, The Commandant recruits Agu (Abraham Attah, "Spider-Man: Homecoming") as a child soldier.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga ("No Time to Die"), "Beasts of No Nation" portrays the brutal realities of battle, combat in sub-Saharan Africa, the recruitment of child soldiers and the true human cost of war.

At the end of World War II, the remaining Nazi SS troops aren't interested in defending Germany in Netflix's latest story about the Second World War. They want gold, but the gold they're after is not only hidden, it's defended by a Wehrmacht deserter who isn't a fan of the SS. He and a local milkmaid will race the evil Nazis to find the gold and return to his long-lost daughter -- alive.

Director Spike Lee offers a Vietnam War-era twist on the WWII heist story of "troops who hide Nazi gold and plan to go back," with a group of Black soldiers coming across a CIA plane loaded with gold earmarked to fight the Viet Cong.

The movie takes place in the present day with the group reuniting in Ho Chi Minh City to go on a mission to locate their horde. As they head out to search for the gold, the group is haunted by memories of their commanding officer (Chadwick Boseman), who was killed in a firefight back in the day. Delroy Lindo's character's son (played by a pre-fame Jonathan Majors) is also along for the trip.
