Mark Zuckerberg tells all 71,970 employees of Meta that they will be called 'Metamates' from now on

In case you were wondering, yes Zuckerberg is diluded. Somehow he thinks his status as a good PHP programmer, actually he wasn't even that good he was mostly lucky, who was able to create a site where you could see pictures of women on campus evolving to a "social" (read, "owned") media site that for a while took over the minds of about 1/3 of the human population, has deluded himself and apparently many other people into thinking that the future of the Internet will be going into a gigantic Ready Player One-like video game that everyone participates.  The world as we know it will become a gigantic video game.

I can't begin to know where to start to say why that idea is so utterly wrong, misguided, and borderline incoherent.

We should really take all this as the tragicomedy that it is for It's entertainment value.
