I changed the IP of my Linux server running Thinlinc Server.

My Windows  Thinlinc client still tries to connect to my server's old IP

I flushed my Windows DNS cache.

No help  - Thinlinc still tries to connect to the old IP (no longer valid)

Thinlinc client does not do a DNS lookup for my server host????

I could not find any registry entries for Thinlinc Client.

I UNINSTALLED Thinlinc client from Windows.

I resintalled Thinlinc client on Windows.

NO GOOD -- The "new" install somehow remembers the old invalid server IP for my server (oceanpark.com - new IP is 54.176.136.29).

QUESTION 1 of 2:

Where does Thinlinc Windows client store config info, especially where does it cache the IP for my server?

QUESTION 2 of 2:

Why does reinstalling Thinlinc Client still use the old invalid IP?

Thanks
Dennis Allard

(long time Thinlinc user)

Dear Cendio Support:

I realize today is New Year's Eve. Happy New Year!!

But if possible please respond to this today. This is critical functionality for me.

Let me add one question: How does the Thinlinc client do DNS look up? Do you have some catching DNS server somewhere that is not up to date? How else can you explain the problem reported below?
