The idea for this group

I created this Google Group  as a way to archive various email and other information.  A nice thing about a newsgroup is that one can send, CC or forward email to the group.  Hence, when I write or see email of interest to a potential future audience that would otherwise languish in my personal email archive, I can simply arrange to CC this group (or send directly to it).
