Ex-TV star Dennis Cole arrested in Fort Lauderdale

Actor Dennis Cole, known for his marriage to Jaclyn Smith and various
guest-starring television roles, was arrested Thursday by Fort
Lauderdale police.
Cole was charged with obstruction of justice, said Sgt. Frank Sousa.
He was in Broward County's main jail Thursday night.
Police were trying to serve a domestic-violence injunction when Cole
locked himself in a room, Sousa said. With permission from Cole's
wife, officers forced through the door to get him out, Sousa said.
Cole and his current wife, Marjorie Cole, are going through a divorce,
according to Broward court records.
The couple worked as real estate brokers for Celebrity Realty,
according to Cole's website, and specialized in upscale properties
along the beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. They own a home off
McNab Road and the Intracoastal in northeast Fort Lauderdale.
During his acting career, Cole appeared in TV series such as Paradise
Bay and Felony Squad and guest-starred on shows ranging from Charlie's
Angels to The Love Boat and Baywatch Nights, according to his website,
www.denniscole.com.
Jaclyn Smith was Cole's second wife. The marriage lasted a few years.
His son, Joey, born from a relationship before Smith, was murdered in
1991.
