I have been using the same payroll software for 3 years. All of a sudden Thursday afternoon 2/15/24, I went to input payroll for Friday's pay and the software would not open. It took a little while, but I finally got a pop up window from Norton stating "Data Protector blocked a suspicious action by ezpaycheck.exe" I contacted the software company because we buy an update every January for the software for that calendar year. We have been running the updated version for over a month with no issues. It is a desktop program. None of my payroll information is on line. I went in to the Norton settings and excluded the program from scans and behavioral protection. Once I did that the program was able to open. But when i try to input a new paycheck Norton won't allow it to be saved to the database file. The program thinks it is saving it, but it doesn't appear on the screen. Please help.
