Plot Summary
The movie begins with Inspector Ram Yadav (Akshay Kumar) arresting a notorious criminal named Baba Bhai (Amrish Puri), who is involved in various illegal activities such as smuggling, extortion and murder. Baba Bhai's brother, Raju (Mohnish Bahl), escapes from the police and vows to take revenge on Ram. He hires a contract killer named Rana (Ranjeet) to kill Ram's family. Rana succeeds in killing Ram's wife, son and sister, leaving Ram devastated and heartbroken.
Ram decides to quit his job and take the law into his own hands. He becomes a vigilante and starts hunting down Baba Bhai's associates one by one. He also meets Pooja (Sonali Bendre), a journalist who is investigating Baba Bhai's crimes. Pooja falls in love with Ram and tries to persuade him to stop his violent crusade and join the police force again. However, Ram is determined to finish his mission and kill Baba Bhai.
The movie reaches its climax when Ram confronts Baba Bhai and Raju in their hideout. A fierce fight ensues between them, in which Ram manages to kill Raju and injure Baba Bhai. However, before he can deliver the final blow, he is stopped by Pooja, who arrives at the scene with the police. Pooja convinces Ram to spare Baba Bhai's life and let the law take its course. Ram agrees and surrenders himself to the police. The movie ends with Ram being hailed as a hero by the public and Pooja promising to wait for him until he is released from prison.
