Dear Den 3 Webelos Parents,

(Note that the items in bold and italics are changes to what I gave the boys to bring home and give to you.  Please read it carefully)

Please complete the following Webelos badge requirement before our next den meeting (all except Gabe, Brandon, and Tyler):

    - Have an adult member of the family read the Webelos Scout Parent Guide and sign here (the "approved by" line following this requirement on page 49 of the Webelos Handbook) 

We have a pack meeting on September 13^th, at the bowling alley at the University of Houston. Of course we’ll be bowling!  Meet at the Vande Heis' house at 8AM.  We'll stop somewhere on the way for breakfast. The boys in our den will be receiving various awards that they earned since our last pack meeting in the Spring.  See below the upcoming events list for driving directions.

The next Webelos den meeting will be at the Vande Hei's house on September 22nd.  We'll start working on the geologist badge.

Our Geology Field Trip will be to the Houston Gem, Jewelry, Mineral, and Fossil Show on Sunday, September 28th from 9AM to 1PM.  I was very lucky to happen across this event and am amazed at the timing, but I need to make reservations, so please let me know if you are interested in going.  The cost is $5 for adults, children are free.  It will be about an hour drive to get to the show.  Volunteer drivers are needed.  You can read more about the trip at these links, http://www.hgms.org/client_show/2008ScoutBadgeFlier.pdf and http://www.hgms.org/
