Viewing 800x600 avi files using a 640x480 demo

Hi

I am trying to create a presales cd demo that has an avi of our
software being used. Our software is designed to run at 800 x 600 and
thus the avi is that size too. The avi has been made using camatasia
screen capture and producer products.

The demo has been set up so it will run on machines with resolutions of
640x480. I have an event that checks the screen resolutions and either
shows the demo or displays text informing the viewer that the screen
resolution is incorrect for the demo.

However, when the avi plays, it is always offset from the top left of
the screen which means a lot of the avi 'screen' cannot be seen.

I have it set to 'normal size' any other setting seems to distort the
image. The x and y coordinates are set to 0,0. Setting it to 'full
screen' does work but quality is then poor on anything above 800x600 as
it is re-sized.

Can anyone suggest how to proceed? Ideally it would be nice to 'shrink'
the dimensions of the avi, but this always seems to degrade the image
played back.
