Stopping AVI and Max # of Actions in Menu Object

1. Stopping AVI from playing
I have created a Pause/Continue button in a scene, but clicking on it
does not appear to stop the playing of the avi file. What action will
stop avi from playing.

2. For the Menu object properties, is there a maximum on the no. of
actions. It appears that I can only have 10, but no more.
