Hello,

We are using demoshield as a cd browser which will be used to launch
installers for 6 products. These 6 products will not fit on one cd, it will
actually use 3 cds in total. Since only 1 cd can be present in the drive at
any one time, here are my concerns/issues:

we want the demoshield to run from the cd.

1. does the demo32.exe, the dbd file, and other supporting files need to be
copied to the hard drive first? Or can we run demoshield, switch the cd, and
the demoshield will still run?

2. launching an application which does not exist has no error checking. If i
try to launch an application where demoshield cannot find the exe, nothing
happens. I would like to have demoshield prompt the user to insert disc 2
when then try to launch an application residing on disc 2, etc.. as opposed
to nothing happening. is this possible? if not, we would have to create a
small vb app to perform this error checking and need to know asap.

Currently we are using 5.3, and in the process of obtaining 6.03.

Thanks,

Daniel.

Daniel Kwok:

Currently DemoShield does not support the ability to launch applications on
a multi-CD setup. However, this feature will be able in the next major
release of DemoShield.

All the best,
