How about the option of not showing the DemoShield banner when a Demoshield
app closes? I understand your advertising, but it drives me nuts to see
this advertising when my Demoshield work closes!!!

There are only two companies that I know of that do this... Macromedia's
Director, and IS's
Demoshield.

Coincidence? I think not!

I have spoken to this many times. I cannot put my advertising on everything
I do for my clients, and it is more than a bit annoying that the software
company I purchase software from does this while I cannot.

I am close to abandoning DS, and avoid Director because of this single
principle.

Multimedia Authoring is an arrogant category of software.

My $0.02.

It's just marketing guys, everyone's gotta do it - I wouldn't expect
Macromedia to change their ways, and DS is prolly just increasing the
knowledge of what is authored with their package.

Perhaps, the answer is to make a logo guideline, similar to Macromedia -
rather than a hard code force on the end user. Requirements on Macromedia's
side is simply that you have to place a logo in the programming AND
packaging the equivalent size of any other logo. DS doesn't require the
packaging part - so we're actually getting off easy!
But I do agree that guideline rather than lock out should be used.

But the bottom line is - it really doesn't bug me that much, no one likes
advertising, unless it's their own! :)

How about giving us an option????? Have a property, which is default to
showing the closing banner, but for those of us, or by code, can change
this!

hehehe...yea, but then no one would opt to have the closing banner on there.
That's just reality.
