Coincidence? I think not!
I have spoken to this many times. I cannot put my advertising on everything
I do for my clients, and it is more than a bit annoying that the software
company I purchase software from does this while I cannot.
I am close to abandoning DS, and avoid Director because of this single
principle.
Multimedia Authoring is an arrogant category of software.
My $0.02.

Perhaps, the answer is to make a logo guideline, similar to Macromedia -
rather than a hard code force on the end user. Requirements on Macromedia's
side is simply that you have to place a logo in the programming AND
packaging the equivalent size of any other logo. DS doesn't require the
packaging part - so we're actually getting off easy!
But I do agree that guideline rather than lock out should be used.
But the bottom line is - it really doesn't bug me that much, no one likes
advertising, unless it's their own! :)
