I have had a very odd request.

Firstly, I'm running CGP 5.3.14 on Windows 2k3, users use email clients
(Outlook, Thunderbird, Mail on iPads and AstraSync), webmail and MAPI.

I have had one of the senior managers ask me if it is possible to see
who is sending the most emails. I've been thinking about this for a
little while before I asked. I have got the email counting perl script
wordcount.pl and was wondering if it can be used to simply give a daily
report of how many emails each user sent.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them :-)

Okay, does anyone have anything which allows you to view statistics of
domain and account usage? MRTG doesn't quite count unless the MiB allows
stats per domain and account :-)

Long time ago I wrote LogAnalyzer.pl script which counts number of sent
and received mails for each user; can mail it to you if I find it.

Also in recent CGPro versions there's a separate log for mails in
Monitors->Logs->EMails which can be imported into Excel for processing.

That would be great. Thank you.

I am now running CGP 5.4.1. Monitors->Logs->Emails is not showing
anything. It's there, just nothing.

What I've been doing is doing a filter through the logs for ") from <".
It shows the following:

00:00:55.885 2 QUEUE([7753971]) from <us...@domain.dom>, 35060 bytes
(<000e01cc519e$09eb4d00$e005...@domain.dom>)

I export that (through copy and paster) to Excel. It is a very slow
process and shows every single email submitted, so there are a large
number of lines from spammers, viruses, etc as well. After going through
30 days of this log export, etc, a script would certainly be preferable :-)
