But... are you kidding?! I've just tested this "long-waited" release with iPhone OS 3.0, and the hated calendar loop bug seems to be still here!
Please someone tell me that I'm wrong... I can't believe you guys at Stalker are so stupid that you didn't try your own workaround! :S

In the meanwhile... what the "Yomi" attribute is used for?

Thanks.

Hello Andrew,
I know you are frustrated but be polite, I have a client too waiting on this fix and now, thanks to you I know the problem may not be fixed yet. Give then a chance to explain.
I wish I could confirm you if the bug is there or not but I can't at this moment, maybe someone else on the list can test.

yes, it works just fine, I was able to change the date of an event
on an iphone running 3.0 that I wasn't able to before.

We are aware of at least one problem specific to iPhone 3.0, which were
not able to reproduce - and thus debug and fix - in our lab environment.
But we will keep working on that.

Please excuse my quite impolite words, I understand that the first target of CGP might be carriers, but this is a real big issue for a lot of enterprise customers.

Thank for your kind reply Dmitry, and let me be more specific...  I've tried to change the following event attributes: title, date and notes, and I always experienced the same behaviour (log excerpt follows).

01:06:40.820 2 AIRSYNC(andrew) iPhone(Appl85833BXLY7H): FolderSync request
01:06:41.899 2 AIRSYNC(andrew) iPhone(Appl85833BXLY7H): Sync request

01:06:56.498 2 MAILBOX(andrew/Calendar) cut @2590232, 551 messages, last={14294}
01:06:56.498 2 AIRSYNC(andrew) 'Calendar': 0 added, 0 deleted, 1 updated, 0 fetched

I'm running CGP's 5.2.15 build for FreeBSD 7 on amd64 architecture, and iPhone OS 3.0(7A341) on iPhone 3G.

Please help us in whatever way you can: as a sysadmin, I'd prefer to miss event change synchronization rather than having my mail server fall in an infinite loop of meeting requests!

Sincerely.

Andrew

Hello,

Which Linux distribution do you use and which errors do you get during
installation?

Hi,

In case you missed this: CGP 5.2.15 also contains a new version of the
MAPI connector. This is not mentioned on the CGP release history but
on the MAPI connector history:

http://www.communigate.com/CommuniGatePro/MAPIHistory.html

1.52.15.1 CommuniGate Pro 5.2.15
- the IPF.Imap mailbox class is not used now.
- the SUBMIT command now checks the message size limit before sending
the message body.
- the SUBMIT command now checks server responses.
- Bug Fix: the Outlook popup menu could have duplicate items.

The version actually bundled with CGP 5.2.15 is 1.52.15.2 (not
1.52.15.1).

What is the work around or was this coded in? I have just recommended to
a customer to setup their iPhone with the calendar sync and they rang me
not a day later saying they are spamming everyone with their
reminders.......

is this going to be resolved?

Hello,

It appears that we finally were able to pin down that problem and the
workaround will be released with CGPro 5.2.16.

If the tests we currently perform on our corporate servers do not reveal
any new problems, we hope to release 5.2.16 this weekend.
