I've got a version of CGPro I bought in June 04.. From the release
notes, I can see this doesn't entitle me to the latest release 5.1c3. OK
- fine. But how the hell do I go about purchasing a maintenance? The is
a small amount of information on the Stalker site about what it might
cost (1.5% the stated purchase price, per month) - but seemingly no
method to make the said purchase.

I emailed Sales and am yet to hear a reply? C'mon.. I want to give you
some money.. Help me out here.

If you have not allready heard back from them, give the sales department a call.  They are very helpfull and will explain all your options.

Andre,

I am in a similar boat. I purchased my license in March of 04. This
March one of their dealers called me to renew my support agreement
for the year for more than I paid for the license with two year's
support. I declined.

I recently responded to Stalker's summer promotion and the next day
received a call from sales. My support contract will now be double
what they quoted me in March and that is apparently the "sale price."
When I balked at the new pricing, the sales person was found it
incredulous that I wasn't taking advantage of this great "deal." She
then suggested that I talk with the sales manager, after 13 minutes
on hold, I hung up, never to hear from them again.

I like the product, but since we are a small ASP and can't figure out
a business model to use SIP and all of the other new features, we
apparently don't fit Stalkers business model anymore. Therefore they
seem to only want us if we are will to pay an enormous premium for
features we will never use.

Interestingly, after last year's blow up over Stalker's new pricing,
I called Sales and was assured that I could upgrade to a larger
license at the old pricing whenever I needed it since I didn't need
any of the new features and they "wanted to take care of their
existing customers."

Good luck with your attempt to purchase a new agreement. We are now
searching for new software to handle our growth.

Mitch
