Greetings,

I gotta ask this again. Now that Microsoft has Outlook for Mac, and
Exchange Server 2010 for the most part fully supports it, why can't
Communigate Pro make a MAPI Connector (Exchange Connector) for Mac. So
many people are bringing Macs into the work place. The company I work for,
Lieberman Productions is fully Mac based, with 80 Mac clients. We would
love to be able to share calendars, Address books, the whole deal.

Regards,

Ciao

You can do this with Mac with out OL

Using:
- Mail
- iCal
- Addressbook

All synced to the server and shared with workgroup

So no need for a mapi on Mac

I am using it from 2 years now with Support of Addressbook in version 5.4

Outlook for Mac doesn’t use MAPI so a CGP Mac MAPI connector would not make any sense. Outlook for Mac used MAPI about 10 years ago.

Microsoft is moving to Exchange Web Services and this is what is used by Outlook for Mac, Apple Mail, etc, when communicating with an Exchange server.

My point of view is that, since EWS is documented, CGP should support that protocol instead.

This has come up a number of times. At least from my point of view, it would make sense to transition from the MAPI connector to implementing OWS support, but I probably don't have enough of an understanding of all of the moving parts to make an informed decision.
