Iphone's and smtp

Two users over here can't send mail through their Iphone's. The reason for this is unclear to me, with or without SSL, portnumber 25 cleartext etc etc, nothing works... Did anyone encounter this too?

Oldest accepted : SSLv3
checked CBC Cyphers for old TLS
checked weak cyphers
accept SSLv2 'hello'

Hope someone has a solution...
