This is probably some setting I am missing, but I'm not sure.. haven't found
it yet, at any rate.

I'm trying to read the userPassword field in Communigate's LDAP server for
authentication purposes for a script on my site. When I go to Webadmin ->
Directory -> Browser, I only see userPassword entries for additional domains
I've added, -not- the main domain, which is quite important.

>From the command line, when I do an ldapsearch, again, I can see the
passwords for the subdomains, but not my main domain. Passwords for the
main domain are kept in the username.macnt directories, and they don't seem
to be stored in LDAP at all.

I thought the setting to turn this on would be the 'Store passwords in
regular Account records'.

Also, in the documentation:

Note: Account passwords are stored only if the Store Passwords in regular
Account Records setting is enabled on the Directory Integration page.

So I turned this on, re-entered the password in the account record, but
nothing. What am I missing?

Chad

On our local server I have the userPassword in main domain records.

Try clicking Delete All + Insert All buttons in the main domain settings
page.
