Outlook hangs in Remote Desktop session

Running CGP 6.0.8 on Windows 2008 R2 server. Running Outlook 2010 14.0.7116.5000 (32 bit) during a Remote Desktop connection. CGP MAPI1.52.54.61/1.54.11.5 (obtained from Add-ins About CGP Connector). Outlook regularly hangs no matter what I'm doing (creating an email, reading an email, in Options, ...), sometimes I don't have to do anything, the first time I click on something it is unresponsive. It may come back after a minute or it will hang up for several minutes, at times I have to force it to close via Task Manager. Is anyone else running Outlook 2010 using Remote Desktop, if so do you experience the same problem and were you able to resolve it. The other Office 2010 programs(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) function without a problem. A standalone computer running the same version of Outlook does not experience this problem. Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.

It sounds to me as though the network connection between the remote PC
and the mail server is slow and Outlook is just taking a long time to
update.

If you were to leave Outlook, for a while, I am pretty sure it would
become responsive again.
