I have forwarded this posting to the best place (at least in far-western

sooner, but there is a few of us here running them with no problems. The
jumpers just need setting to master, fit the HD, reasemble the iMac,
insert the OS9/X (depending on which system he's running) hold C and use
the disk utility on the CD for 'initialise' the disk, you can also
partition it at this stage and then run the installer.
