I guess it could be, but not a general one. I checked with two of my
neighbours last night. Their systems were working.
However this morning I did manage to reconnect. The router (Thompson
TG585 v7) still failed to bring up the PPPoA link on reboot but did so
when I logged onto it and clicked the Connect button. It wouldn't do this
last night.
Spoke at length with Help Desk. Their line tests and connection tests
could find no fault. Was advised to do a router reset (paper clip through
little hole on the back). This returned it to the ex-Demon condition. Had
to re-enter username and password, and reset the wireless security to WPA-
PSK.
Everything now works (PPPoA link automatically connects on reboot) -
Strange!
