BOD locks B1 when B2 is dropped

I'm using a DI-304 ISDN router with bandwidth-on-demand enabled to
call Demon on 0845 212 0665. This works, except that when both lines
are up, and bandwidth falls, then B2 is dropped (OK), but then B1
seems to lock up - I can't get IP connectivity, and have to drop B1
and redial before getting it back again.

Any suggestions about this problem? Also, it looks as though calling
one line on 0845 212 0665 is much more expensive than calling 0844 099
6672 (I'm on NTL). So perhaps bandwidth-on-demand will be unpleasantly
expensive, as well as somewhat dysfunctional? In which case I should
probably manually go from 64K to 128K dialup as needed, which is a
little inelegant.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions,

S.

I tried BOD on a Demon account using an 0844 number. This gave
symptoms much as you describe. The Demon tech told me that BOD is
unreliable and to always connect at 128k. As I was using an 0844
number and paying BT for a full "Surftime" rebate on call charges
this was acceptable to me. I have used BOD on another ISP using
an 0845 number and found it to work as expected. This was using a
Netgear RT328 ISDN router.
