As part of revising the Which Newsgroup FAQ, I am attempting to
determine which demon.* groups are moribund, so that people can be
warned that they may not get a response to a message in such a group.
The lack of posts to this group suggests that it might be effectively
dead. However it is possible that some people knowledgeable about the
use of Demon under Windows 9x are still reading this group, and could
help anyone who asked a question here. If you consider yourself such a
person, please would you follow-up this message.

Yes, I'm still here. ;-)

I have a W95 computer which will be kept alive until I have transferred
all the data onto my XP computer.

My wife has a W98 machine which she still uses.

A question I was going to post real soon:

Now I have broadband I am going to network her machine to mine so she
can access the broadband. However, she has no anti-virus so she is wide
open to anything nasty going around. Where can I get an AVP which will
run on a W98 machine and can still be updated with virus definitions?
