Hi,

Is anyone able to help.

How do I specify a pause within a telephone number. I need to pass
through a telephone exchange next week when I connect to the internet

Thanks,

To dot the "t's" and cross the "i's".

Each comma pauses for the number of seconds set in the modem's
"S8 register".The default is 2secs and can be set in the range of
0 to 255secs.

on most modems, a comma (or multiple commas) in the dial string will do
this. However, you may be able to use Windows features like "calling
cards" to set out the digits to be dialled and specify delays exactly.
