I'm getting a trickle (which increased since the 1st of jan) of spam
to an old username i used here on the usenet and i've started using
the very good POP3 Scan Mailbox utility that was suggested a few
months ago.
It all works fine, but i can't get the *env bit to work.
I've got all the options checked but it just hangs on connection to
the demon mail server.
I've got the filters to delete all the messages that show the address,
but there are lots of messages that don't show the address that don't
get sellected.
Webmail of course shows them up cos it uses *env i gather.
Have i missed something???
Cheers
Rich.

That's exceedingly odd.

Indeed. Without the "*ENV" feature working, the program has only the
standard email headers to work with.

I don't think so, but I can't immediately think of a reason why the
program should hang.
What I suggest is that you switch on logging (Global Options -> Log
Files, Set Logging Level = 4). Close down and restart the program, try
a connection, then look in the log.txt log file in the program's
directory.
Post an extract from the log file if you'd like it interpreted.
Regards, Mike.
