I joined BTInternet 10 days ago because of their 0800 freephone number.

Initially I had problems with connecting - sorted that out but then had
problems with collecting usenet postings from Demon.

Solved that yesterday (Sunday) AM by deleting the BTInternet setting in
news collection.

So for half a day everything was working fine.

Since 9pm Sunday night the email collection from BTInternet has been
erratic in terms of

one or two emails go into my BTInternet email box (which has its own
Username in Turnpike) but the majority are suddenly going into my Demon
mailbox (again with its own Username).

I have looked at the headers and they look identical to me so I can not
make out why this is occurring.

The emails that are going into the Demon email box are from a mailing
list - but some from the same mailing list also get directed correctly
to the BTInternet email box - see headers below.

Following email went into Demon email box:-

ie you are routeing on username [[you didn't give your rules explicitly!
which makes analysis a little trickier]]

this only works if the domain is "yours". Check in Configure/Host in
Connect that you have set "accept email for" your BTInternet domain

it is also necessary for Turnpike to correctly reconstruct the SMTP
envelope which requires the "Received" lines to hold suitable info

this shows the username to have been newport_county and the domain
mail.btinternet.com
