I've been using TP for quite a few years now (just deleted emails I
sent in 1998 with it), but I still haven't found a way to create and
use a set of standard templates apart from the rather clumsy use of
sigs.

Anyone out there coem up with a technique? I'm especially interested
in ones that allow an attachment (usually a jpg or pdf) to be embedded
in them.

I've for several years been sending the inevitable joke e-mails around a
small group of friends

it's possible to make multiple copies of e-mails and save them as drafts
...

and to retrieve them and add appropriate content

bit of a faff ... but might be "the way to go" ?
