I am having trouble configuring a new email address of the domain
name i.e. isb...@isbjorn.demon.co.uk

Error messages tell me the name must be unique. From my limited view it
is! Is this a 3.01-ism that is dealt with in a modern version <G> or
just something I can't do? I am working with all users running from
a single seat thingy.

Do you have isbjorn as a user name? If so that will stop you having it
as an email name, unless you go to, file, configure, users and tick the
box "also email name".

The alternative is to change user name :-)
